Color Management Systems
Matrix Label's commitment to maintaining high production standards carries through to our ink and color management systems. We continue to improve our processes in this area as technology advances and we are always looking for ways to increase the quality of our printed materials.
Inks
In today's flexographic printing processes you can find three different types of inks being used; water based, solvent based, and U.V. curable. These inks consist of colorants, which may be pigments and a binder.
- The printing processes at Matrix Label focus on just two of these inks, Water based and U.V. curable, as they have become main choices in the industry due to the environmental implications of using solvent based inks.
While application dictates what inks to use the choices and types of inks has continued to expand. Low odor, FDA approved, and glow in the dark inks are just a few of the many different types of inks available today.

Laminates and Varnishes
