Matrix Label Systems, Inc. can provide you with a vast selection of face stocks, liners, and adhesives to solve any labeling need that you may present.  Each face stock, liner, and adhesive has been specifically developed with certain characteristics that make it ideally suitable to a certain application and environment.

At Matrix Label Systems we believe in application based manufacturing.  This means that we will provide you with the correct combination of these three elements to give you superior performance for your specific application.

Face stocks

Papers

  • Direct Thermal - White thermal coated paper designed with varying levels of environmental resistance and protection for the print heads
  • EDP - Bright white, uncoated, bleached kraft with good smudge resistance that is highly receptive to inks and suitable for dot matrix and continuous laser printing
  • Fluorescent - Fluorescent coated litho stock which readily accepts printing inks, available in colors ranging from reds to orange and green
  • Gloss – A face sheet that offers high gloss, uniform surface smoothness and ink holdout; ideal for high fidelity printing jobs
  • Laser - White face sheet ideal for high quality bar codes and graphics printing; provides for good toner anchorage; designed for laser printers
  • Litho - Provides excellent ink receptivity and opacity, good toner and impact printing characteristics
  • Semi-Gloss - Lightweight coated face stock offering a balance of economy and performance
  • Thermal Transfer - Ultra smooth face stock designed specifically for thermal transfer printing
  • Translucent - A type of paper face stock that permits the passage of light through it

Films

  • Direct Thermal Film - A high sensitivity direct thermal clear synthetic face stock
  • IR
  • Kimdura® - White, biaxially oriented, three-ply polypropylene film specially treated for computer imprintability
  • Latex
  • Piggyback
  • Polyester - Film that provides excellent tear strength, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance
  • Polyoefin
  • Polypropylene - Surface treated film that is biaxially oriented
  • Polystyrene - Rigid surface treated film
  • Thermal Transfer Film
  • Tyvek® - Opaque, white, spun bonded polyolefin film with exceptional tear strength and moisture resistance
  • Vinyl

Tag Stock

  • Direct Thermal Tag Stock
  • Thermal Transfer Tag Stock

Liners

  • Semi-calendared Kraft (SCK) – all around liner for paper materials with very good die cutting and stripping characteristics, poor lay flat ability, moderate particulate levels
  • Poly-coated Kraft (PK) – contains a poly layer that improves die-cutting and strengthens the liner, has a lower incidence of web-breaks due to deep die-cuts, slightly lower dust particulate, does not sheet well
  • Lay Flat (LF) – excellent stability and resistance to curl for sheeted applications, moderate particulate levels
  • Polyester Film (PET) – durable and good for high speed die-cutting and stripping, poor sheeting characteristics, has a very low particulate
  • Bleached Glassine (BG) – designed for low to medium speed dispensing, not recommended for sheeting

Adhesives

Permanent

  • Acrylic – PS adhesives base on acrylic polymers. Can be coated as a solvent or emulsion system. Noted for excellent stability in outdoor exposure.
  • Cold Temperature – An adhesive that will enable a PS label to adhere when applied to refrigerated frozen substrates, generally +35 degrees F or colder
  • High Temperature – A PS adhesive characterized by high ultimate adhesion. The label either cannot be removed intact or requires a great deal of force to be removed.
  • Removable – A PS adhesive characterized by low ultimate adhesion. The label can be removed from most substrates without damaging the surface or leaving a residue or stain.
  • Permanent
  • Dry Gum
  • All Temp
